S-g and, I believe, Grace, were working on a large mod-run plot for sometime soon of a "festival" of some sort happening in Tokyo.
Although I am not personally fond of mod-run plots, I know that some people are, so I thought we'd have maybe a brainstorming session here of some large things you'd like to see down the line.
Another idea was for a natural disaster to occur in Tokyo...an earthquake or a flood. What are your thoughts?

I like the festival idea. Hm, there's a chrysanthemum festival during October in Tokyo, at least now days.

Tokyo, for example, was prone to a lot of fires...
And of course there are earthquakes too as Bee mentioned.
And mod-run plot? Hm. Well, guess one has to experience it to really comment on it! Could be interesting.

A festival sounds good. Help get everyone happy! And genki and joyful!! ::grin::
If we do a natural disaster, or something along those lines, I think we should wait until at least everyone is healed completely from Jinchuu. Just because, that way we'll have all our characters able to be at their full potential, and more fun to play. ^^ The idea has merit, because as we all know, there's nothing like a huge crisis to bring out the inner character of characters. ::giggle::
Otherwise, we could do little things. Like some or all characters could travel to a hot spring or visit Yokohama or something. (We all know Kaoru would -love- to get her paws on more chocolate.) ^_<#nosmileys

Sure! Characters are always free to go on trips, if they want. Although, the further you go, the more you have to allow for travel time. For myself, I'd like to see exhibitions of "Western Things". In one of OKita's posts, I mentioned that there was an exhibit of reproductions of European Art. If I remember correctly, western culture was a sort of a fad right then, as the government and the people attempted to come to terms with Japan's new "openness". Heh heh heh. Badly translated performances of Shakespeare, here we come!

Yes! I love the blending of western culture! I've been trying to put it in earlier in my other post... But I sure would like a full blown up plot about it.
But... I also like the flower seeing festival. Can we have both? ^__^
Heheheh!

Yes, there was an Exposition that I think we just missed that I referenced in my Clara's Diary notes. This exposition was held in Ueno Park. The other thing I forgot to mention is that there are actual historical events that we could consider running, like Ulysses S. Grant's visit to Tokyo in 1879. This might be a character we play for a time as a mod-run character and most definitely could build plots around that aren't necessarily mod run.

There was also the typical epidemics that crept up from time to time so that could a possible, um, crisis... especially with the upcoming winter! (though Megumi-san might not like that!)
Soooo much could be done, tweaked, etc. ...

There's also the first Sino-Japanese war that starts in 1894, but at the rate we're going, we might never get there. ;D

Soooo much could be done, tweaked, etc. ... Megumi's player begs on her behalf to not have any epidemics until summer or something to that effect. Megumi as of now is about to run herself into the ground. An epidemic is a good idea but it has to be picked carefully to avoid us writing something that is super super disruptive. I think our first few ideas are meant to be more gentle :-) . Or funny.
