OK then. What kind of plots would we most like to see at Himuragumi?
I think we need more romance - there doesn't seem to be too much of it!
How about Humor? I could definitely get with that!
A good mystery? If there was a mystery - who would be the most fun to watch investigating? Solving? Ignoring?
Please....just no more angst. LOL.

I would love to get a historically based plot going once Matsu returns to address the impact of Bakumatsu on the Meiji eras. I would like very much though like it if we had a Katsu Kaishu (HINT HINT) since he served such a pivotal role in the transition /restoration of power from the shogunate back to the Emperor.
I think it's a matter though of having one or two others interested in the history bend of things just trying to work together on this and do some side research and have some discussions.
The Meiji era is still very much transitional. The pbehindage of the Constitution is fresh, and there are still things sorting out with this oligarchical rule which the Kenshin series sort of moved away from. (There were hints of problems brought out in season 1 when Yamagata first appeared, referred to by Shishio, and again touched on in Season 3.)
-There is still a political mess sorting out in the upper levels of government. We could introduce some of the historical things that did happen into this RP (if only we'd move faster), like the visit of(by then former) US president Grant to Tokyo. We could talk about the ramifications of Okubo's behindbehindination, etc. etc. These are things which our characters should react to, actually -- as he was a prominent figure.
-There is still a lot of social inequity. The school system was still being reformed. Foreigners were pointedly aghast at "the backwardness" of society with respect to education and unequal access.
-There is still a lot of simmering resentment politically everywhere. The Seinan Wars are still fresh on peoples' minds, and from what I read, people did sympathize heavily with Saigo, who was considered a peoples' samurai.
-Maybe some of these issues might be best laid out in a newspaper eh? I'd like to get a Katsu (not Kaishu, but Tsunan the long-haired angst-bishie) on board to write these things up and help our characters have something to talk and discuss and also go off and get inspired by.
Just thinking aloud again. (I so need to stop and read my vaccination papers.)
