I gave red-bird.org/himuragumiplus a facelift, and am trying to think of whether to add a geisha section for former/current geisha playersin game. Yes? No?

Oh! Yes! I think a geisha section would be fun! Especially with the Memoirs Opening this week. There should be more interest, ne?
Also, I think we should consider general Geishas for characters at Himuragumi. No reason Enishi can't have a harem at the Kite, ne?
It would be an opportunity for an original character - but MUST be historically based, ne? The right person could really do a great job! What do you think?

I will probably behindemble a barebones page pointing to the other much more intensive websites out there and maybe get my reviews together off Amazon for some of the books I read. I am open to geishas, but probably want to ask that there is some behindurance that the work has been done to introduce them and that the player first takes on a known and reasonably-defined character (RK). Also, I gather that any geisha who want to work at the Kite will probably have to face some sort of 'screening' by the Kite's proprietor. Given the abundance of resources out tehre on Geisha, I really would hate for us to offend people by portraying them really apart from what is written. I would rather that the first geisha to be introduced, if any would use historically based models (e.g., Sadayako, who actually came late Meiji). Also, not a first character into the RP. (So as a second character, I think this is okay. I'm just worried about OCs as it introduces a whole new level of issues to watch out for - mainly self-inserts and MarySues.)
